Tuż przed końcem roku szkolnego, w dniach 22 i 23 czerwca, uczniowie naszej szkoły pod czujnym okiem pani Moniki Kołton – pomysłodawczyni projektu oraz z pomocą Pana Dyrektora i innych nauczycieli SP1, przystąpili do tworzenia na przyszkolnym placu klombu - w kształcie koła, o promieniu będącym przybliżoną wartością liczby π ≈ 3,14 m.
Nasz pomysł został sfinansowany w ramach Projektu Stowarzyszenie Rozwoju Orawy Rozwoju Orawy pt. „MAŁOPOLSKA PSZCZOŁA" ze środków Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Małopolskiego
Uczniowie za pomocą samodzielnie skonstruowanego „cyrkla" wyznaczyli koło o podanym promieniu, w centrum którego znalazła się ułożona z berberysów „magiczna" liczba π.
Posadziliśmy również inne – uwielbiane przez pszczoły drzewa, krzewy i rośliny m.in. lawendę, lipę, czy wrzos.
